5 Tips to Make Your Silk Press Last~

If you're like me, you love the look and feel of a silk press. But let's be honest, they can be pretty pricey. That's why I've put together these five tips to make your silk press last longer. Trust me, your wallet will thank you!

1. Trim your ends regularly. When your hair has been straightened it’s easier to see those split ends so ensure that your hair is trimmed when you decide to wear it straight.

2. Opt for a smooth, flat silk press with a light curl on the ends. The curl will help to keep your hair from looking too "done" and help it to last longer.

3.Don't use too much product. When you use too much product on your hair it can cause buildup which will lead to your hair looking greasy and weighing down your curl pattern.

4. Avoid moisture. This one is pretty self-explanatory but avoiding moisture will help to keep your hair from frizzing and prolong the life of your press.

5. Wrap hair with Satin at night. This will help to keep your hair moisturized and prevent it from drying out overnight which can lead to breakage.

I hope these tips help you to get the most out of your silk press! If you have any other tips that you swear by, be sure to share them in the comments below. Remember, taking care of your hair is an investment so treat it accordingly!
